Thanks to Dean from Dynamic Nord, we’re excited to offer a dedicated Snorkel Trail and Surface Treasure Hunt at this year’s North West Dive Fest, taking place at Capernwray Diving Centre.

Whether you're a curious newcomer or a seasoned snorkeller, this activity is perfect for those who want to explore the water without going deep. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy Capernwray’s clear waters, interact with others, and take part in something fun and light-hearted — no tanks required!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• A guided surface route around key features of the quarry
• Floating markers and checkpoints to follow
• A treasure hunt-style challenge along the trail
• Prizes or surprises waiting to be found
• Ideal for non-divers, families, and anyone who just wants to snorkel

WHO CAN TAKE PART?

• Anyone with basic swimming ability and a mask, snorkel, and fins

WHAT DO I NEED?

You’ll need:

• Mask, snorkel, fins
• A surface marker buoy (if you have one)
• A wetsuit or exposure protection suited to UK waters
• A sense of adventure!
